Exhibition Adventure of the Earth
The history and evolution of our planet are the subjects of the permanent exhibition Adventure of the Earth at the National Museum of Natural History and Science, in Lisbon. Along the 100m (328 ft) long room, a timeline translates space into time – 1 meter equals 50 million years – and features over 20 illustrations of past landscapes and geological phenomena that characterized Earth during its life of 4600 million years.
Right at the entrance of the exhibit, two large vertical panels feature the Milky Way and a sequence of steps in the formation of our solar system. I worked closely with the consultant astrophysicist for the exhibit and other expert sources such as Galaxy Map.
